Be You

Inspiration for this card came from Andrea Walford at Paper Crafter's Library.  She created an incredibly beautiful card with a fall theme.   I also went with a fall theme and stamped my fern onto white cardstock, adding detail with colored pencils.  I included similar ribbon accents and used an embossed kraft paper at the base rather than a striped paper.  However, if I were to do this design again, I would go ahead and use patterned paper on the bottom and a cream background for my stamped image. The white is just too stark.

  2. Gorgeous card Brenda, your coloured pencil details are beautiful and I like the white as it is clean and draws the viewer to your focal image

  3. Beautiful monochromatic card Brenda! Thanks for stoping by my blog and left me such sweet comment! For the orange, green and brown faux Washi tapes, I stamped on thin packing paper, then trimmed them to the size I want. The other two were actually stamped on card stock, then I distress it, then peel off a layter so that it's thinner. That's it!

  6. What a cool CASE of a card! Lovely image to use as well. My white paper is cheaper than my cream paper so I often use it more than cream. I like to ink the edges with distress ink (vintage photo or fine linen) to make it cream instead-works like a charm, what can I say, I'm cheap!
