This is my take on the current challenge over at
MUSE Card Club. The challenge is pretty simple. We can draw inspiration from the posted card. That inspiration can take any form including "design/layout, color combination, pattern, texture, image style, embellishment and technique." My card and
Laurie Willison's inspirational card share the same colors as well as a split panel down the center. I love the clean style of Laurie's card and her fantastic color combination. To create a floral background on my card, I used stamps and a VersaMark. I punched six flowers, layered them and added a yellow circle to the center. I inked around the edges of each flower and added hand cut felt leaves. I printed the sentiment on the computer and used a colored pencil to add lines around the edge of the square. I adhered the flowers and attached this square to the green panels that I had wrapped in ribbon. In the end, I felt that the cards were two similar and I wished I had been a bit more creative in my design.
