Let it Snow!

This card was inspired by a challenge to use Washi Tape. When I first saw the challenge, off I ran to be creative. The card came together very quickly, but I had to put it aside before  posting it because something more pressing came up. This morning I discovered it still sitting on my craft table and photographed it, only to realize I had forgotten which blog was offering the challenge. So, to save a lot of time trying to look through my very long blog reading list, I'm just posting it.

Supplies:
Cardbase: Paper Studios
Cardstock: piece of scrap white cardstock
Snowflake punch: Tonic Studio
Decorative tape: My Mind's Eye, Indie Chic
Adhesives: Scotch Quick Dry, Scrapbook Adhesives Foam Tape

Let it Snow!

Dashing through the snow is the challenge at Jingle Belles.  Since we haven't had much snow in the past few years where I live, my card is a wish for snow.  To begin I embossed snowflakes on white cardstock, punched the three snowmen from designer paper, matted them with dark blue cardstock and adhered them to the embossed background.  The card looked a little flat so I added the punched snowflakes using dimensional adhesives.  I wrote the sentiment with a marker and then inked around the outer edges of the banner as well as the white embossed cardstock.  The real challenge for me was taking a photo.  I have a hard time trying to take a decent photo with cards that have this much white.
