Snowmen for Christmas 2020!

In the spirit of Christmas, the office staff at work went all out and decided to decorate our individual offices for the 2019 Christmas season. I created the above snowmen, one sat on my desk at work and the other stayed at home. When the office staff saw my snowman, they loved it. So, thinking ahead, I created a few more during my holiday break. Since Christmas 2019 has come and gone, I have packed them away and will gift them to my colleagues in 2020. I've have to admit, I have never been so well prepared or ahead on my Christmas gifting!

Each snowman stands about 12"-14" high.  The base of each snowman was created from a piece of rolled heavy weight cardboard, which I covered with polyfil. I made the scarves and hats from a red plaid night gown and a green bathrobe purchased at a thrift shop. (In the photo, the green fabric looks very dark and it is hard to see that it is green.) The brooms were made with a dowel and raffia. The eyes were created with felt and the noses were created from fabric. I added pink chalked cheeks and used a black heavy thread for the mouth. Each snowman took about 3 hours to complete from start to finish. I enjoyed creating them and love that they each seem to take on their own personality.
