Birthday Card

I am sharing another card this week based on the current sketch at The Sketch File. Kathy has also posted a fabulous card, so I hope you will hop on over to take a peek. My card uses shades of purple. I have a particular person in mind for this card and purple is her color. The card came together quickly which is always a plus, thanks to Kathy's great sketch!  We will have the sketch up until the end of January, so if you are feeling inspired, we hope you will let us see what you've created. As always you can make adjustments to the sketch including rotating it, flipping it, enlarging or shrinking it, use it on a rectangular or square card or layout. Have fun and share your creation with us at The Sketch File. Here are two versions of the sketch:

The Sketch File in January

Today I am sharing a card based on our current sketch at The Sketch File. I was determined to create a birthday card as my stash of them is slowly growing smaller and smaller. I also wanted to create a card that could be used for a male or female. I'm not sure I mastered this, but at least I have a new card for the collection. The sketch is fun to work with and I hope you will be inspired. Please share your creation with us at The Sketch File. As always Kathy has shared two versions of the sketch and we invite you to enlarge it, flip it, rotate, shrink it and use it for a card or scrapbook layout.
Happy crafting!

First Sketch of the Year

Happy New Year! I hope your year is off to a great start. It's time for the first sketch of the year at The Sketch File.  Kathy and I would love to see what you create with it . It's a simple sketch but offers so much inspiration. We'll keep the sketch up all month long so you can create one or more cards or projects throughout the month. Be creative and feel free to make a few changes to the sketch. You can rotate it, shrink it, enlarge it, resize parts of it, but as always the goal is to have fun creating.  As you can see, Kathy has already created two versions of the sketch:
