Best Wishes, SSD134

Virginia over at Yes, Virginia was my inspiration for starting today's card.  She is doing a series on how to "stretch" your stamps.  Since I own very few stamps, I am eagerly following her posts.  I also was inspired by the sketch at Skipping Stones Design.  To create my card I did the following:
  • Repeatedly stamped a red floral image on cream colored cardstock.
  • Stamped individual flowers on cream colored cardstock, added small red dots around each petal with a marker.
  • Added a dark blue punched dot to the center of each small flower and used a circle punch to cut out the flowers.
  • Used blue ink to add definition to the small circle edges.
  • Cut the dark blue and cream center pieces by hand, inked around the cream with dark blue ink and adhered them along with the narrow dark blue strip onto the flowered patterned paper.
  • Added punched red dots on the cream and blue inked strip.
  • Used dimensional adhesive behind the flower circles and placed them in a draped fashion onto the card base.
  • Using the same red ink, I inked cream cardstock, drew a large flower and cut it out.  I added white punched dots, a blue circle in the center and red marker dots around each petal.
  • Used a gel pen to write Best Wishes.
Thank you, Virginia
 for the stamping inspiration
and  thank you, Skipping Stones Design for the awesome sketch!
